I'LL TELL YOU A SECRET: I LOVE MY JOB!

Newborn Golden Retriever Puppy - Mojave Kennel, High-Quality Selection

How many times have I heard people say, "Why would you do this?" or "Oh, you're a breeder? How wonderful!" Yet 16 years have passed since the first photo of a little life that was named "Penelope." I still remember the days when I had to decide what to do with my future, choosing which school to graduate from, getting my degree... the moment when you think, "Oh my God, what do I want to do when I grow up?" Although a little scared and understanding the difficulties that arise especially at a young age, this choice fortunately didn't faze me too much, my ideas were already very clear: "I want to work with animals!" During my studies, I had the opportunity to experience the "practical" side firsthand, completing an internship, and this certainly confirmed and strengthened my desire to continue in the direction I had chosen. There were certainly difficulties; in fact, once I finished my studies, it seemed almost impossible to fit into this world. I was starting to give up a little, I have to admit. I was afraid I'd made a mistake, maybe I wasn't ready or suited to it, yet I'd given it my all. Why couldn't I at least try? Prove that what I'd studied for was truly what I wanted to do? Fortunately, like in the most beautiful fairy tales, the happy ending arrived, the long-awaited call that confirmed the experience I'd so longed for.

Your task

is to discover

what is your job

And

dedicate yourself to it

with all your heart.

QThis family-run farm, located in the picturesque countryside of the Maremma region of Tuscany, near the sea at Follonica and the hills of Grosseto, combines professionalism, passion, experience, total dedication, and respect for our beloved Golden Retrievers. Our well-being depends on their existence; they were born and raised in our home, with our children. They are well-socialized with the world around them, without being confined to a cage. They can socialize with the surrounding area without limitations, and live a free life, both inside and outside the home.

Through careful analysis, we select only healthy and balanced Golden Retrievers. We also pay attention to any personality or morphological defects that will not negatively impact the puppies' lives. To ensure the genetic health inherited from their parents, it is necessary to examine the bloodline and pedigree. Therefore, our work blends science and a love for Golden Retrievers, thanks to our PhD in genetics, which focuses on the use of rapidly growing Next Generation Sequencing data. We focus on understanding, diagnosing, and treating genetic malformations And hereditary diseases, with particular attention to hereditary joint diseases.

My doctoral thesis, "Genetic Basis of Hereditary Joint Diseases," and my Master's in Pet Behavioral Medicine, with the thesis "Evaluation of the Adoptability Index of the Dog Kennel," represent an advanced academic path that integrates with the Animal Husbandry and Welfare Technician program, with the thesis "Hypofertility in the Male Dog," at one of the most prestigious schools of Veterinary Medicine in the United States.

The collaboration with this University continues through activities of advanced scientific research, thanks to an accredited laboratory, where we study and investigate the genetic causes of different congenital diseases, including the dysplasia.

Our work over the past decade has focused on improving and expanding clinical genetic services, such as genetic compatibility of sperm before insemination and sex determination of puppies through sperm selection. It is essential to trace the genetic health of a puppy's parents through genetic bloodline checks and the parents' history.

This is because only a thorough analysis of this information can guarantee the reliability of the genetic health inherited from the puppies. Through this data, it is possible to confirm the accuracy of the pedigree and its genetic integrity. The breeding selection practices applied, combined with general health monitoring, are based on certified genetic and health criteria, guaranteed by official documents and legally recognized.

Added to all this is our constant practical and emotional support for the families who welcome our puppies, so they can have a peaceful and informed experience.

As someone who is naturally inclined to care for animals, I should have a personality that might be contrary to that of a dog breeder, nevertheless I have been a volunteer for animal welfare organizations for many years, collecting homeless dogs and cats in need of care, or simply looking for a new family.

When I started breeding, I admired the bloodline Athena came from for her morphological and character traits, but it was a disappointment after the tests that would have allowed her to breed, where she was found to have some congenital diseases, but these nevertheless did not prevent her from living with us. In fact, she is an integral part of our family and despite

She wasn't part of our breeding tribe; she stayed with us because she's a part of us. Furthermore, our predilection for two Golden Retrievers, Giada and Gaia, emerged at a certain point in our lives in the US; they are infinitely graceful and charming creatures who steal my heart. We're satisfied with the pet therapy we've employed, where every week we assign Iaia to children with specific communication or cognitive disabilities.

These children participate in exercises, monitor Giada's care, and provide companionship. Giada and Gaia will be with us until the end of their days, like everyone else at our shelter. People need to remember that their belongings aren't just things: they're also an important part of their lives.

Our philosophy

How do animals see the world?

Is there any karma that binds us to them or binds them to us?

Do we choose them or do they choose us?

Do they see you?

How would it be best to communicate with them?

GAnimals have different evolutionary stages but they lack "free will", therefore they do not have

possibility of choice, except when they have reached their last incarnation as animals.

Like everything else, they too have their own karma. They see the world through their instincts and according to their species. Pets are the most evolved, and it's a mutual choice: the animal instinctively accepts the human, who will either help it evolve, or rejects it (not by free choice but by instinct).

Of course, there's karma in encounters with animals. Every animal can teach us the law of love, and we can help the animal evolve. How animals see humans depends on the animal and its instincts. Pets "resemble" the person who adopted them and are in tune with humans, even without the need for words. We can communicate with animals.

simply with love, respect and attention.

Loving and respecting animals helps us learn to love and respect nature and the planet. Be careful when "adopting" an animal, don't do it for image, out of selfishness, and without considering its need for space and freedom. A pet must be trained and respected.

Respecting animals and their nature also means protecting them, not killing them, and not allowing others to kill them.

Animals should never be "used" for selfish purposes. They can be great collaborators for humans, but they must not be exploited to avoid creating negative karma towards them. I would really like to know what happens to animals after they leave the body. Animals, like humans, have their own evolutionary path. From species to species, the soul travels its path of knowledge and experience, until it comes to life in a human being.

The beings Humans can contribute a lot to the evolution of their pet, whose soul will grow in step with the spirituality of the family or person in which the animal lives.

Unlike humans, animals do not have free will and act on instinct, but this does not mean that they do not have a soul and cannot become aware, depending on their species, of good and evil.

Pets areThose closest to their final incarnations, so stay very close to them, accompanying them with love in life and death. Don't make an animal a replacement for a human being, but still have respect and care for their species, respecting their habits.

and their instincts.
